I've always loved Quinn's writing, especially her pet related stories, so was delighted to get and read "Pet Sounds." What makes it even more delightful is that it's more like two pet owners, Quinn and me, sitting by the fireplace chatting about our pets than just reading about it. I first "met" her in her education book, enjoying the angle from my vantage point as a retired public school teacher, so am looking forward to catching up on all of Quinn Cummings' books asap. Bottom line, a fun, entertaining read that my hunch is even non-pet owners will enjoy.Product details

Funny, touching, sincere and did I mention funny? I thoroughly enjoyed this book. And don't we all like a little confirmation we're not the only ones nuts about our pets? Quinn Cummings voice is strong, memorable and laugh out loud funny. Highly recommended.
I'm an occasional reader of Quinn Cummings' blog, and most of the material was new to me. All the stories touch on her relationship with animals and why we keep up relationships with them, even when it's difficult because they need us, because they make our lives happier, because they're irresistible. I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
Quinn Cummings has written hilarious tales about what it's like to be owned by four-legged fur babies, and the lengths she'll go to to keep animals happy and healthy. A perfect book for anyone, unless you don't like fun. And for people who refer to their pets as their children, this book is *especially* for you! From trying to keep her dog away from skunks ("the special cats") to helping her cat with her three a.m. exercise routine ("Throw it again! I'm firming up my butt!") Quinn Cummings relays her life with animals with an amazing amount of humor and compassion. I laughed so hard while I was reading this book that my cats got down off the bed and went in the other room. Quinn is easily one of the funniest people on the planet.

Love everything Quinn writes! Quinn is funny with a great sense of style I her writing. Her love of all animals is abundantly clear.
