If you are really new to painting in general and acrylics in specific, this might be a good book for you. But for the person who has a modest amount of knowledge about handling the medium and understands color theory, you will find this book very thin on concrete concepts to developing non-representational art (or even abstracting representational art). It is not at all what I expected.
Love this book and the instructional ideas which it is packed with! If you are a reader you will learn so much, if you are not you will miss out on the teachings and the wisdom of learning from the artist! I would not recommend this book to anyone because it lacks clarity on so many different levels. It is not "practical" of a book pass on this one folks.
I enjoyed the practical applications and color projects. Lots of food for thought and paintings. Plus, I love her artwork.
